On Presentation Opportunities... "Thankfully I had a lot of opportunities to present my work. As a McNair scholar I was asked to participate in a lot of their programs and presentations. I was also asked to present my work for the Women's Studies program too. I had also been a presenter on a panel at the SECAC (Southeastern College Art Conference) in West Virginia, and when I was there I discovered that graduate students could apply to be the chair - so I did! I presented as the chair the next year, which I have to say was phenomenal."

On Getting Involved... "I got involved in a plethora of things across the board. I worked on the UND art collection, I've done exhibitions across campus, publications with other people, even just meetings with students and organizations. I loved doing that. I also worked with the North Dakota School for the Blind to help produce a series of prints - it was so fun and so cool."
